When you come to stay with us there are lots of things to do and see in our area.
In Omagh area we have the Ulster American Folk Park – an open-air museum and park that tells the story of life in Ireland before and during the potato famine. There are examples of the type of houses people would have lived in before they emigrated, a replica of the ship which they travelled on, and examples of the houses they built in America.
The Ulster History Park another excellent open air park telling of settlement of the first people in Ireland from around 5000 BC and how society and agriculture developed up to the 1600’s.Just across the road from the park are Gortin Glens with wooded areas and spectacular views over the glacier formed glens.
Fermanagh
Lake Lands and Enniskillen are within easy travelling distance. Spend
the day visiting the National Trust properties of Florence Court and Castle Coole , Enniskillen Castle and the beautiful
lakes. Also worth a visit are The Marble Arch Caves, and of course the world famous Belleek Pottery.
For another day trip you can take in the sights of Armagh including St.Patricks Trian, The Palace Stables, The Planetarium and the cathedrals of the city.
In Derry/Londonderry
you can take a city tour and walk on the famous Derry Walls and visit the
Guildhall with its magnificent stain
glass windows.Then travel on to visit the Gaints Cauesway, Bushmills Distillery and Carrick a
reed rope Bridge.
The Tyrone Crystal Factory and Wellbrook Beetling Mill are also worth a visit.
If you enjoy golf there are a choice of 5 courses nearby – Fintona, Baronscourt,Omagh,Trillick and Sion Mills.There is also a golf driving range where you can practice your shots on site.
